Meet The Artists

at The Vision Sanctuary

Rachel Corvese

Rachel Corvese finds inspiration in nature, community, and ancient archetypes. She believes that expression is a form of spirituality, and connects us to the rest of the known and unknown universe. She lives in the central coast of California where she now pursues different mediums of expression such as dance, music, and of course, painting. Through her energetically-charged surreal visions, she empowers her community to seek solutions and always be a student of life.

Rachel works mostly in Acrylic, oil paint, graphite and charcoal, on surfaces from small canvas to big public walls. You can find her art online at artbyrachelcorvese.com or at The Vision Sanctuary in downtown Santa Cruz.

Victoria Cristine Miessler

My name is Victoria Cristine Miessler and I am a painter and fashion illustrator based in Santa Cruz, CA.

I create psychedelic feminine felines with cosmic backgrounds and bright colors that celebrate the beauty of femininity, nature and all living beings. I use multiple mediums including acrylic, oils and gouache paints as well as digital illustration.

My creations are for people who are in tune with their spirituality and have a deep appreciation for cats and nature’s pristine elegance. It's for those who are attracted to the expansion of consciousness and fight for human rights and the protection of Mother Earth.

My mission is to use my creations to give us all hope in a world of chaos and remind us of how truly magnificent and intricate this world is, so that we may cherish and embody our own feline femininity.

Jason Scott Cohen

Jason Scott Cohen is a painter and writer. He took a few years off from painting to write a novel about jellyfish, immortality and the end of the world. Now that he is back to the brush, he is hoping to generate a bunch of thick oil paintings that showcase his love for this beautiful planet, and his internal yearning for nondual consciousness. Since those are lofty goals, he will settle for paintings that look pretty.

Jason has a degree in Literature from UC Santa Cruz. His artwork has been exhibited in New York City, Philadelphia and San Francisco. He has also lived in New Orleans, Paris, Prague and Paonia, Colorado. His affinity for cities that begin with the letter P are likely due to his love for his parents and his obsession with potato chips. You can peruse more of his work at www.jasoncohenart.com.

Michael Baca

Michael is a self taught artist living in Santa Cruz since 2014. He enjoys taking inspiration from scientific processes as well as philosophical and spiritual concepts to explore what it means to be human. Michael hopes to bridge the gap between science and mysticism through art and encourages his viewers to embrace their sense of self, always ask questions, and spread love through creativity wherever possible!

Shelley Ann

My name is Shelley Ann. I have been making art for over 3 years in mediums of acrylic paint, watercolors, India ink, graphite and micropens. My artistic style is heavily influenced by optical illusion, sacred geometry, nature and animals. I am also deeply inspired from my own spiritual awakening and experiences with psychedelic medicine. With my art, I aim to make the world a more beautiful place by encouraging others to create,  and by making art that disturbs the comfortable, and comforts the disturbed.

Taylor Royan

Taylor is an explorative multimedia artist who focuses on exploring the beauty of natural phenomenons as well as anthropogenic affects on the world. She incorporates her knowledge of microbiology, environmental science and chemistry into her work and enjoys using art as a way to educate her community about environmental awareness and public issues.
Currently, Taylor focuses in watercolor multimedia, oil painting and a form called “chemical art,” where she explores new artistic concepts by mixing various incompatible mediums to create unique patterns and textures.

Amanda Mullenbach

Amanda dove into the Visionary art current in 2018. She studied at the Academy of Visionary Art in 2019. Coming from a passion in street art, she finds time spent in front of a canvas to be therapeutic. She uses a layering method, highlighting whites and glazing over with color, often to depict translucency that represents clear seeing. She pulls visions through meditation, and uses the imagination as a tool to tap into the unconscious. Art is a path that has lead her to witness self transcendence, where the dance of life slows down and she discovers creative play.

Caroline Kirincic

My name is Caroline Kirincic and I am an artist based out of California. My current focus has been on creating pieces that explore dark femininity and the sensual essence of the human form through the use of charcoal. I have recently shifted back to working with oil paint and will begin to bring these visions to life on a larger scale in the next coming months.
